Transportation Planning Organization seeks perspective and opinions on area transportation needs/issues
The Southwest Oklahoma Regional Transportation Planning Organization (SORTPO) is working on development of the 20-year long-range regional transportation plan for southwest Oklahoma. Counties included in this planning process include Beckham, Caddo, Comanche, Cotton, Custer, Grady, Greer, Harmon, Jackson, Jefferson, Kiowa, McClain, Roger Mills, Stephens, Tillman, and Washita. Upon completion, this plan will address future road, freight, transit, bicycle, and pedestrian needs for southwest Oklahoma. To know the needs of this region we would like to hear your perspective and opinions on transportation needs and issues.
A short survey (5-7 minutes) was developed to gather information from the public to aid in the development of the regional transportation plan. The survey can be accessed at, https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/6VV9GTL, www.sortpo.org or by completing the paper copy of the survey. If completing the paper copy please email/mail completed surveys to Julie Sanders at SWODA 420 Sooner Dr. Burns Flat, OK. The survey period has been extended through June 16th, 2022. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact Julie Sanders, Director of Transportation Southwest Oklahoma Regional Transportation Planning Organization (SORTPO) at 580-504-6593.
