Graveside service for W. L. “Dub” Jackson was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, with Pastor Joshua Beason, First Baptist Church, Roosevelt, officiating.
Burial with military honors was in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Snyder, under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home of Snyder.

W L “Dub” Jackson, 93, Snyder passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at his home in Snyder. He was born November 7, 1928, in Bray to Bert D. and Maddie (Pryor) Jackson. He served in the United States Army from 1952 until 1954 where he served in Germany. He earned the Army of Occupation Medal-Germany, the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. After his honorable discharge, he served for eight years in the Army Reserves.

“Dub” married Louise Schrader of Mountain Park on July 2, 1955, in Hobart. They were married 67 years. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad and Frisco Railroad as a trackman and foreman. He retired after 43 years of service. “Dub” farmed, raised cattle and loved to fish when he had the time.

He is survived by his wife Louise of the home; three children: Sandra Hawkins and husband Wesley of Snyder; Bobby Jackson of Snyder, Rickey Jackson and wife Judy of Elgin: grandchildren: Brian Knox of Snyder, Kandice Little and husband Shane of Snyder, James Hawkins of Lawton, Jeremy Hawkins, Ector, Texas, Martha Beason and husband Joshua of Snyder, Caleb Jackson of Snyder, Tatiana Combee and husband Jonathan of Tecumseh, Jennifer Hall and husband Alan of Broken Arrow, Ryan Hall of Broken Arrow, Lynda Broadfoot and husband Tanner of Broken Arrow; great-grandchildren: A.J. and Krash Little, Lonnie Knox, Caleb Hawkins, Logan Pointer, Jayce and Gunner Combee, Caben and Boston Wolf, Oakley Broadfoot, Isaiah Hall and Gabriel Hale. He is also survived by a sister Helen Brockman of Boise, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert D. and Maddie (Pryor) Jackson, a daughter Linda Sue Smith, daughter-in-law Wanda Jackson, two sisters, Naomi Tyler and Edna Wright and two brothers, Boby Jackson and Doyle Jackson.
