Snyder approves pump purchase in emergency PWA meeting

The Snyder Public Works Authority Board of Trustees held an emergency meeting Thursday afternoon to take action on purchasing a Backwash Pump for filters at the water plant. Due to the necessity of this pump, members voted to approve the purchase of the pump at a cost not to exceed $20,300. The pump that is being replaced is original to the plant. It will take around two weeks for fabrication of a new pump. In the meantime, the plant will be working off of temporary pumps to try to keep up with water demand.
