Curtis Dawayne Morris

Curtis Dawayne Morris, 48, of Snyder, died on August 31, 2023, at his home. Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Southside Baptist Church, 205 18th Street, Snyder.
Dawayne was born on December 22, 1974, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Delores “Faye” Dwyer and Clifford “Junior” James Morris. He moved to Snyder in 1991 with his mom and sister where he attended Snyder High School and graduated in 1994.
DaWayne had a heart of gold; anyone from his childhood or adult life could confirm he was kind, funny, charismatic, selfless, loyal and always tried to find the positive in any situation. He will be missed dearly by family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford “Junior” James Morris, many other special family members/friends and his beloved dog Roco.
He is survived by his sons Brodie Morris of Mt. Park and Beaux Short of Central, Louisiana; his mom Faye Dwyer; sister Crystal and Cesar Marroquin; nieces Victoria (Torina), Izabella (Bella) and Ameliana (Millie) as he called them; nephew Dakotah and Maddie Grill, great-nephew Nova and great-niece Athena all of Snyder; sister Cindy Gilbreath, niece Desiree Evans and nephew Bradlee Evans of Bryan, Texas; sister Kelly Pool of Aransas Pass, Texas, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that loved him.
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
