Care and Share for the holidays

The Southern Kiowa Food Pantry and the Kiowa County Democrat are asking community members to join them in caring and sharing for the coming holidays.

The holidays will be here soon. Our communities have families in the Snyder, Mt. Park and Roosevelt communities that could use help in providing at least the main dish for a big family dinner. If you could provide a ham or turkey for a family during Thanksgiving or Christmas it would certainly help those who may need help getting a good family meal for those holidays. You can bring your contribution to the Kiowa County Democrat office from 1-6 Monday-Thursday or give it to a board member of the Southern Kiowa County Food Pantry and a deserving family that the pantry cares for will be helped.

Board members and regular volunteers are Michele Ervin-director, Charlene Bower-secretary, Christine Berggren-treasurer, Adam Ney, Phillip Liles and Katie Edgar.

The pantry has been helping over 50 families each month. If you are in need of services from the pantry, forms can be filled out at the Snyder Tag Agency.
