Albert “Perch” Flinn passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in Hobart, Oklahoma. He was born October 27, 1966 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Jimmy Alton Flinn and Glenda Lee (Holsted) Flinn Boren.

Albert “Perch” Flinn, aged 57, hails from Roosevelt, Oklahoma, but his roots trace back to Mountain View, where he spent his formative years before graduating high school in 1984. In 1993, fate introduced him to Karen Anderson, and the following year, they exchanged vows in Snyder, embarking on a journey filled with adventure and love. Perch epitomized the essence of a devoted father, extending his warmth not only to his own children but also to any youngsters who crossed his path. His dedication to his family was unwavering, evident in his unwavering presence at every wrestling match, stock show, or sports event his children participated in. A man of contrasts, Perch was both their staunchest supporter and their most discerning critic, instilling in them values of respect and discipline. Beyond his familial sphere, Perch contributed selflessly to his community, serving on the Snyder School Board of Education and the Kiowa County Fair Board for numerous years. With the dawn of grandparenthood, Perch found renewed joy in witnessing his children embrace parenthood, a testament to his own accomplishments as a father. He cherished nothing more than spending quality time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, whether camping, riding, or simply relishing each other's company. As Perch's earthly journey concludes, his absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him, yet his spirit lives on in the cherished memories he leaves behind.

Perch is survived by his wife, Karen Flinn; daughter, Laken Pettit, and his favorite son-in-law, Dillon Pettit; son, Chantz Flinn and wife Kambrey; daughter, Kenlee and Stevi Upton; son, Tyler Flinn and wife Kyla; son, Dylan Flinn; and his little buddy, Kyle Flinn, the favorite son; brother, Brett Flinn and wife Cindy; and his mother, Glenda Boren and husband Bob, eight grandchildren: Adlee, Brynlee, Boston, Braxson, Briggs, Kinsley, Millie, and Kylan, one niece, Sydney Flinn.

Perch was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Flinn.
