Peggy June Hamilton

Peggy June Hamilton was born May 2, 1933, in Headrick, Oklahoma to Nellie and RP Marsh. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 18, 2023, in Durant, Oklahoma.

A celebration of life was held on January 13, 2024, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Snyder, Oklahoma where she is buried.

Peggy AKA “Nan” was a little lady with a big personality. You never saw Peggy that she was not filled with laughter and a giant smile on her face. Peggy was known as “Nan” to many, because once you met “Nan”, you would never forget her. She had a special way of making that kind of impact.

On June 1, 1951, Peggy married the love of her life, Joe Hamilton. This love created four children: Randy, Tannah, Terry and DeeAnn. They lived in Snyder, where they owned and operated Hamilton Garage until 1976. They then relocated and made homes in Bokchito and Bentley, until retiring in Durant.

Peggy is survived by her daughters: Terry Falen of Edmond, Oklahoma and DeeAnn Ballew and husband Dan Ballew of Durant; granddaughters: Lisa Miller and husband Scott Miller of Lawton, Oklahoma; Rayna Stewart and husband Jason Stewart of Edmond, Oklahoma; Jennifer Horton of Overland Park, Kansas; Jodi Watkins of Alexandria, Louisiana; Lynsey Dills and husband Aaron Dills of Durant; Haley Corley and husband Trevor Corley of Caddo, Oklahoma; grandson Trevor Hamilton of Durant. Great-grandchildren include Cassidy and Cagan Cross, Kaiti Horton, Kenley Washington, Cooper & Camden Stewart, Elyssa Watkins, Randi Jo Hamilton, Tracker Corley, Paxon Dills and Hendrix Hamilton. Special mention of her beloved neighbors and friends.

She was met in Heaven by her husband Joe Hamilton, son Randy Hamilton, daughter Tannah Abernathy, grandson Austin Falen, great-grandson Kannon Corley, son-in-law Ray Falen, 5 sisters, 1 brother and a host of nieces and nephews.
