Dianna Jane Mullins

February 29, 2024

It is with a great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dianna Jane Mullins, from Republic, Missouri, at the age of 76, due to her long battle with cancer.

Dianna was born and raised in the small town of Snyder, and took classes at the College of Liberal Arts in Chickasha, for a year. She moved to NW Arkansas and on to Springfield, Missouri in the early 1970s.

Dianna always enjoyed rescuing animals of all kinds, trail riding horses with friends, camping, and kayaking. She was an accomplished artist, teaching oil painting classes at Painter’s Corner in Republic for many years. Her specialty was portraiture, mostly of loved ones, but she also created realistic paintings of wild animals and family pets. She loved capturing scenes from the southwest as well, which was one of her favorite travel destinations.

Dianna was an early advocate of computer usage, and taught herself complicated programming processes. She was proficient in early website development for Painter’s Corner, and creating art prints for customers. She also owned and operated her own business, Dian Dolls for over 20 years. For this business she hand-sculpted faces and hands for old world Santas, whimsical witches, Grandpas and Grandmas, even a few babies. Dian also developed unique techniques for creating their bodies, making patterns for their clothes, and sewing the costumes herself. Her creative talents and gifts were many, and continued all her life.

She will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Dianna was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Betty Roberts, and her husband Donald Mullins.

She is survived by her son Michael Mullins, granddaughter Kara Brune and husband Eeston, great-granddaughter Naomi, sister Marcia Julian, nephews Ben and Preston, brother Tom Roberts, and nieces Sarah and Christie.

Care has been entrusted to Walnut Lawn Funeral Home DeGraffenreid-Wood Crematory.
