Jackie Lynn Ney

Funeral service for Jackie Lynn Ney age 71, of Mountain Park, was Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Jackson Funeral Home Chapel, in Frederick, with Brandon Steed and Don Janz officiating. Burial will follow in the Mountain Park Cemetery.

Mr. Ney died on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at the Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.

Jackie Lynn Ney was born October 27, 1952, in Frederick, to Virgil and RaeNell (Woodward) Ney.

He attended Mountain Park Public Schools, graduating from Mountain Park High School in 1970. He later attended Southwestern State University in Weatherford where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. On December 23, 1971, he and Janet Clydene McPhail were united in marriage in Vernon, Texas.

Jackie was former Mayor of Mountain Park and served on the Volunteer Fire Department for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janet Ney of the home; three sons, Eric Ney and his wife Nacole of Frederick, Adam Ney of Mountain Park, and Collin Ney and his wife Christine of Lawton; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one sister, Linda Ney of Mountain Park.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and RaeNell Ney; one son, Jason Ney; and two uncles, Orville Ney, and Glenn Ney.
