Ronald Dee Hamilton

June 26, 2024

Ronald “Ronnie” Dee Hamilton died June 17, 2024, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. We honor and remember Ronnie. He was born in Snyder, Oklahoma on October 4, 1950, to David and Maryemma Hamilton.

After graduating from Snyder High School, he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University and was a member of the Southwestern Singers. Ronnie was a proud US Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam era. Prior to his military service, he married and was blessed with two children he adored, his son, Jeremy and wife Amy, of McKinney, Texas, and daughter, Joy and husband, Austin, of Amarillo, Texas.

Residing in the Oklahoma City area for the rest of his life, Ron began his square dancing years. He traveled to multiple states calling square dances, loving the friendships that lasted many years. His gift of gab served him well during his sales career and those who knew him knew he always had a good joke!

Ron loved sports especially OU football and golfing with his brother, Mark. Countless hours on the golf course were precious memories shared by both.

Ron was preceded in death by his father, David, mother, Maryemma, and sister, Patty.

We all will miss him dearly including his wife Karen, stepdaughters Tammy and Sheila, and stepson, Allen.

Family was the focus for Ron, including son Jeremy and wife Amy, daughter Joy and husband Austin, brother Mark and wife Ann, and grandchildren Jordan and wife Erin, granddaughters Gallerie, Brinli, Hannah, and step grandchildren Allie and Bryson gave him much happiness; he was proud of each one. Numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and his lifelong friends brought him happiness and pride all his life.

May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing.

To honor Ronnie, family and friends are gathering to honor his memory on Saturday, June 29, at the Church of Christ in Snyder.

A family lunch will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Friends will gather there at 1:30 p.m.
