Snyder enacts mandatory water conservation measures

Effective immediately the City of Snyder has enacted mandatory water conservation restrictions due to the low levels at Tom Steed Lake.
Stage 2 Water Conservation: When usable storage of Tom Steed Lake is fifty percent (50%) or less. This means that residents may use water outside only between the hours of midnight and 9:00 a.m. All residents on the west side of Highway 183 are directed to water on the odd days and the residents on the east side of Highway 183 are directed to water on the even days. No swimming pools are allowed to be filled within the city limits.
PENALTY: Any person who violates any provision of this City Ordinance code or maintains or permits to continue violation of this Ordinance, shall be guilty of an offense and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by fine of maximum of five hundred dollars ($500.00) and costs as provided by this Ordinance. Everyday upon which a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense.
