Pat was known for her playful, ornery spirit and her love of joking with others. She delighted in teasing and giving people good-natured grief, always with a spark of affection and a twinkle in her eye that left everyone laughing.
A talented crocheter and seamstress, Pat found joy in creating beautiful blankets and handmade treasures for her loved ones. As a devoted mother, Pat is survived by her children, Ward Hill and his wife, Krystal, and Kristy Portwood and her husband, Chris. Grandma Pat adored her grandchildren, Maddie Hill, Wyatt Hill, Cahill Portwood and Tommy Lancaster and was eagerly looking forward to welcoming her first great-grandchild, Hadley Tate. Pat shared a lifelong companionship with Raymond H. Hill, her partner in life and love, creating a legacy of care, creativity, and deep connection that touched everyone around them.
Raised in Snyder, Pat grew up under the loving care of her Uncle Freeman and Aunt Maggie Westerman. Their guidance instilled in her the strong and compassionate character that defined her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, aunt and uncle, sister, Doris Crowley, brothers, Jerry Bayless and Danny Barker.
She is also survived by her sisters, Linda Cook (Shane) and Beverly Nuckolls; her brother, Glen Brazil; her cousin, James Barnes and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Pat’s warmth, humor, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered.
