DeLois L. Carter

Memorial service for DeLois L. Carter, age 87, of Indiahoma, was held March 20, 2025, at the First Baptist Church of Snyder with Rev. Les Banks officiating. She passed away March 14, 2025, in Altus. Arrangements are under the direction of Jackson Funeral Home, of Frederick.
She was born July 15, 1938, in Hobart, Oklahoma, to Clyde Marion and Aline (Burris) Phillips. She attended school at Mountain Park. She was united in marriage to Marvin M. Carter, in Altus. He preceded her in death on January 21, 2015.
She worked as a clerk for Hop & Sak in Snyder, Wilson & Willis Grocery Store, Walt’s convenience store and Indy Superette. Her favorite pastime was watching and rooting for her grandkids playing baseball when they were young.
Survivors include a daughter: Karen Head (Donnie), of Snyder; a son: Todd Allen Killian, of Indiahoma; three grandchildren: Jesse Earl Killian, Daylan Killian, and Trent Roach; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Sandy Wayne Killian; two brothers: Clyde Wayne Phillips and Monte Eldon Phillips; two sisters: Athalie “Tootsie” Carter, and Linda Keeble; and a grandson: Randy Duren.
